Winter in Lanzarote,
January 2024.

Escaping Winter.

With a quiet calendar at the start of January, Chloe and I decided to take the opportunity to escape the dismal British weather and head to Lanzarote for 10 days of wandering and relaxing in some winter sun.

We took a drive north up the island to the lava caves of Jameos Del Agua, I’ve loved visiting this place since I was a kid.

Kings Day Parade &
Exploring Teguise.

A pretty wild morning spent at the local harbour, watching the Kings Day parade, Melchor, Gaspar, and Baltasar riding camels throwing sweets at kids. Followed by a much more relaxed afternoon exploring one of our favourite towns of the trip, Teguise, the old capital.

Haria & Tenesar.

A familiar wander through Haria, a beautiful little artsy village in the mountains, and an unfamiliar wander through Tenesar, a lost village on the brutal west coast of the island.

The little Dacia Duster did us proud.

El Golfo.

A hot morning strolling around El Golfo, a hotter afternoon driving the coast to explore the lava tunnels and a breezy evening watching the sun sink into the sea, we loved this part of the island.
