Anglesey Weekender.

Day 1.
Llandudno.

Following a job up north I pointed the van South Westward to head for North Wales, a brief stop for night 1 in the lovely seaside town of Llandudno with my parents before continuing the journey along the North Wales coast to Anglesey.

Van was behaving well, weather was glorious, 4 days off. What could be better?

Day 2.
Newborough, Anglesey.

After a short drive from Llandudno I arrived in Anglesey, always an enjoyable drive along the North Wales Expressway and the Menai Bridge. I first drove to Newborough in hopes of catching the sunset and exploring the small holy spit of land called Ynys Llanddwyn.

The sun didn’t behave but I enjoyed a couple of hours wandering around this beautiful, historic part of the world mostly to myself.

Day 3.
Rhosneigr, Anglesey.

A dusk walk back along Newborough Beach to the van and a short drive to my evening camp spot, just down the coast from Rhosneigr, accompanied by a handful of other vans I shared a couple of beers with some other campers and ate dinner.

I woke the next day to an uninterrupted sea view, sunshine and a brisk sea breeze, the perfect coffee spot.

Following my wander through Rhosneigr I headed to the northern tip of Anglesey, to South Stack Lighthouse where I was lucky enough to witness a gorgeous sunset over the Irish Sea.
